Helen Ridge

A life-long artist, Helen had an eventful life, including farming, joining the RAF, a circus in Germany, Arts Manager of Chisenhale Arts Place in London, and Arts and Events Manager at City of York Council.

Helen’s taste in films, literature and household ornaments was notoriously eclectic. She was a lover of animals, and the most loyal, sincere and supportive friend and family member.

Her latest project was a series of book illustrations in collage and paint for When the Crow Cries, written by her niece Maxine Ridge.
